This area is located in the modern town of Torre Annunziata.

There is a beautiful villa, named the villa of Poppea, who was Nero ‘s wife; it goes back to the I century a.C. It is a typical example of a villa of “otium”, built near the cost and far from the chaotic life of the capital .It is full of frescos and mosaics which are real masterpieces.
