Naples was founded by the Greek colonists in the IV b.C and it was named Neapolis, new town.

In the course of the centuries it has been conquered by many foreign dynasties. One can admire the traces of its history in the monuments, the churches, the squares, the palaces, and the museums.

It is a stratified town , in the historical centre one can admire the traces of the ancient Greek and Roman town (IV b.C. – IV a. C). It has been conquered, in the course of the centuries, by many foreign dynasties, such as the Norman, Swabian, Angevin, Aragonese, Spanish, and Austrian one. In 1734 it was conquered by the Bourbon royal dynasty and it was the capital of the reign up to the Italian unity.

It is the third largest town in Italy and it has one million inhabitants.

The bay of Naples is considered one of the most beautiful in the world.
