Naples

Napoli was founded by Greek colonists in the IV century b.C., and it was named neapolis, new town. In the course of the centuries, the city was conquered by several dinasties, each of wich leaved the marks of their domination: in the city center, one can admire the ancient vestiges of the greek-roman culture mixed with the signs of the Norman-Swabian, Angioin-Aragonese, Bourbonic, dinasties. The mythical Bay of Naples" is considered one of the most suggestive and beautiful bay of the world.

Portici

National Museum of Railroads of Pietrarsa. Seaport of "Granatello" (the name derives from the numerous pomegranate plantations present in that area). Portici Royal Palace, is the royal chapell. The Vesuvian Villas and the "Golden Mile".

Ercolano Archaeological site.

According to the legend, Ercolano was founded by the mythical Ercules. The eruption of Vesuvius of 79 a.C., buried the city under lava flows. The solidification of the vulcanic material favoured the preservation of ancient buildings and of organics reperts.

Mount Vesuvius

Mount Vesuvius is high 1281 m. Mount Vesuvio has erupted several times: the most famous eruption was that of 79 aC that buried the cities of Pompei and Ercolano under lava flows. This event was narrated by Pliny the Younger, a surviving eyewitness, in the two famous letters sent to the historian Tacitus.

Capri

Capri is considered the most beautiful island of the gulf of Neaples. The island is celebrated all over the world for its natural wonders, such as Grotta Azzurra, the Faraglioni, and the magnificient panoramas.

Ischia

Ischia is the biggest island of the Gulf. The island is volcanic and has a natural volcanic activity: its thermal spas are an irrinunciable touristical destination.

Sorrento

Sorrento is the most popular destination of the Sorrentine Peninsula. Sorrento has been a touristic destination since Roman times. In Sorrento, one can admire the "Correal di Terranova" museum and the ancient Dome.

Amalfi Coast

Amalfi Coast has fascinated travellers of all the world, since the ancient times. The Coast is renowed for its natural cliffs, steep slopes, wonderful panoramas, and the blu sea.

Positano

Positano is a picturesque small town, rich of coloured houses leading down to the coast.

Pompei Archaeological site.

The city was buried by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius of 79 a.C. In Pompei one can admire the Forum, the Temples, the Theater, the Amphitheater, the Thermes, ancient mosaics and sculptures. Many of the archaeological reperts are now exposed at the Archaeological National Museum of Neaples.

Sanctuary of the Virgin of Rosary of Pompei

The Sanctuary, that has the title of a papal Basilica, is one of the principal center of Marian devotion in Italy. It was begun in 1876 and widened in years thirty.It counts per year approximately two million visitors.
